Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 7, getting a 68.7 score against 54.8. Even though Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is older than the Amazon Fire HD 7, it's construction is a little bit lighter and incredibly thinner. Both tablets in this comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has 4.2.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little faster processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 7, because although it has 2 less cpu cores, it also counts with an additional GPU and a greater amount of RAM. Amazon Fire HD 7 counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also counts with a bit better count of pixels in each inch of display.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, because it has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB and 32 GB internal storage.
