The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a score of 65.7, which is much better than the Amazon Fire HD 7's overall score of 54.8. Even though the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is just a bit heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 7, it's somewhat thinner and also newer. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has 9.0 Pie version and Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version, so it gives you some nice extra features and performance optimizations.
