The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is better than Amazon Fire HD 7, having a overall score of 60.5 against 54.8. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has newer 7.1 Nougat version while Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4, so it provides the user some additional features and optimized performance. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 construction is way thinner but much heavier than Amazon Fire HD 7, and both of them were released only a few months apart.

The Amazon Fire HD 7 features just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have a Quad-Core processor. Amazon Fire HD 7 counts with a lot better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a much greater number of pixels per inch in the screen.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a much better memory for applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB. The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 counts with a superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 7.

The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a way more mega-pixels back facing camera.

Despite of being the best tablet in our comparison, Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is also a lot cheaper.
