Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a general score of 67, which is way better than Amazon Fire HD 7's 54.8 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active design is heavier but a little thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 7, and both were released with only 1 months difference. Both of these tablets include the same Android 4.4 OS (operating system), so both of them should provide the user the same OS features.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's processor is just as good as the CPU in Amazon Fire HD 7, and although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an extra GPU and a larger amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Amazon Fire HD 7 features a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also counts with a little higher pixels number in each display inch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active takes greater photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels. Galaxy Tab Active counts with a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 64 GB.
