The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is much better than Amazon Fire HD 7, getting a general score of 59.5 against 53.9. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is a older and just a little bit heavier tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 7, but Samsung was able to make it just a bit thinner anyway. Both tablets in this review work with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has older 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 7 has Android 4.4 version.

Amazon Fire HD 7 features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also has a greater number of cores. Amazon Fire HD 7 has a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a same size display, the Amazon Fire HD 7 also has a better 1280 x 800 resolution and more pixels per inch of display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 7, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 32 GB and 8 GB more internal memory capacity. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a greater camera than Amazon Fire HD 7, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) also has a way more MP back camera.
