The Acer Predator 8 has a general score of 57.7, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's general score of 54.1. Both tablets in this comparison use Android OS (operating system), but the Acer Predator 8 has 5.1 Lollipop version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version, providing the user a lot of extra features and performance improvements. Even being the best device in this comparison, the Acer Predator 8 design is somewhat thicker and heavier than Amazon Fire HD 8.

Acer Predator 8 has a little faster CPU than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Acer Predator 8 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Acer Predator 8 has a sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Acer Predator 8 also has a greater pixel density and a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels.

The Acer Predator 8 takes much clearer photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8. They have a same resolution back facing camera. The Acer Predator 8 counts with a much better memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have an external SD slot that supports up to 128 GB, the Acer Predator 8 also has more internal storage.

The Acer Predator 8 features a much better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8.

Although Acer Predator 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Amazon Fire HD 8, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
