Comparison review

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a global score of 58, which is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's global score of 54.1. Both devices we compare here include Android OS, but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has an older 4.2.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 is a noticeably older and somewhat thicker tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8, but Amazon made it just a little bit lighter anyway.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a quite superior processing power than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has a graphics co-processor and more RAM memory. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a lot better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much greater display density and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920.

Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a battery duration that's just as good as Amazon Fire HD 8's battery performance. The Amazon Fire HD 8 has a way better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

Even being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 is also by far the cheapest.
