Comparison review
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8, with a 68.5 score against 54.1. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has the previous 4.2.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Although it's the best tablet we compare here, we must note that it is also a noticeably older, somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker tablet.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit more powerful processor than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has an additional graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much more vibrant screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a bit larger display and a much higher pixels quantity per inch in the screen.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 takes greater photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a much more megapixels back-facing camera. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
