Comparison review
The iPad (2020) has a general score of 66.6, which is a lot better than Amazon Fire HD 8's general score of 54.1. The iPad (2020) is a noticeably heavier tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but they are equally thin. The iPad (2020) counts with a quite superior hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the iPad (2020) also has a 64-bits CPU.
IPad (2020) features a much better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a much higher resolution of 1620 x 2160, a bigger screen and more pixels per display inch. The Amazon Fire HD 8 features a greater storage for apps and games than Apple iPad (2020), because although it has only 16 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds up to 128 GB.
IPad (2020) captures much better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the iPad (2020) also has a back camera with a much better resolution. Amazon Fire HD 8 and Apple iPad (2020) count with similar batteries.
Apple iPad (2020) is way more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
