Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a general score of 70.8, which is a lot better than Amazon Fire HD 8's overall score of 54.1. These devices have Android OS, but the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has the older 5.0 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop. Despite of the fact the Google Nexus 7 (2013) is extremely older and somewhat thicker than Amazon Fire HD 8, it's construction is still just a bit lighter.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) counts with a bit faster processor than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has a greater amount of RAM memory and a graphics processor. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a much sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a much higher number of pixels per display inch.
