Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 has a global score of 66.3, which is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's overall score of 54.1. Despite being the best portable tablet in this review, the Microsoft Surface 3 is a thicker and notably heavier portable tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 8. Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a little sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a little bit more pixels per display inch, a much bigger display and a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1280px.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a bit better performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
Microsoft Surface 3 features a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a much better 8 MP resolution back facing camera. The Microsoft Surface 3's battery duration is just as good as the battery duration in Amazon Fire HD 8.
Microsoft Surface 3 costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
