Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has an overall score of 60.7, which is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8's overall score of 54.1. These tablets include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has the previous 4.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s construction is a lot older, noticeably thicker and a little heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 8.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also has a higher number of faster cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with just a bit better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a way worse 600 x 1024px resolution, a little bit smaller screen and a little worse pixels density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a bit bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) takes better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a much lower 1280x720 (HD) video definition and a much worse resolution back-facing camera.

In addition to being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is also the cheapest one.
