Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a general score of 65.9, which is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's global score of 54.1. Both tablets in this comparison have Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has older 4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Despite being the best portable tablet in this comparison review, it must be noted that it is also extremely older, just a bit thicker and a lot heavier.
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch counts with a little more vivid screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a bit less pixels per display inch, and they both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch also counts with a bigger display. The Amazon Fire HD 8 features a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also has more processing cores (although slower).
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch takes better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a lot lower resolution back-facing camera and a way worse video resolution. Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a greater storage for games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a SD memory slot that supports 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
