Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an overall score of 68.7, which is a lot better than Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 overall score. These tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the older 4.2.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's construction is a little bit thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 8, but it's a bit heavier and was released 2 years before.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a little more vivid display than Amazon Fire HD 8. They have an equal 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, a same size screen and the same pixel density. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little faster CPU than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has an inferior number of 1.5 gigahertz cores, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a GPU.
