Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a global score of 60.4, which is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8's score of 54.1. Both tablets we are comparing here work with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A (2016) has 5.1 Lollipop version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop, so it provides some additional features. The Galaxy Tab A (2016) construction is thicker but just a little lighter than the Amazon Fire HD 8, and both of them were released with only 6 months difference.
