Comparison review
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an overall score of 62.8, which is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8's overall score of 54.1. Galaxy Tab A 8.0's body is a little bit heavier but just a bit thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 8, and both were released with only 5 months difference. Both tablets we compare here include Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has 7.1 Nougat version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Amazon Fire HD 8 also has a little higher 800 x 1280 resolution and a little greater pixels number in each inch in the screen. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has as much memory to store more games and applications as Amazon Fire HD 8, both of them have a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB and the same 16 GB internal storage capacity.
Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Quad-Core processing unit. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8. They have the same resolution back facing camera, the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rate.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is not only the best tablets of the ones we are comparing here, but it's also cheaper than the other tablet, making it an easy decision.
