Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 has an overall score of 70, which is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8's 54.1 general score. Even though the Galaxy Tab Active 2 is noticeably newer than the Amazon Fire HD 8, it is a lot heavier and way thicker. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a little bit better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280px, a higher number of pixels per display inch and a same size screen. The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a quite bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a SD card slot that admits up to 256 GB.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with just a bit better performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a higher amount of RAM and a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a much longer battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8. Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a greater camera than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 also has a camera in the back with a way better 8 MP resolution.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra dollars.
