Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8, getting a 64.9 score against 54.1. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a more recent 5.1 Lollipop version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop. Although Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is a better portable tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8, we must tell that it's also a thicker and somewhat heavier portable tablet.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 has just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0, although it has 512 MB less RAM memory, they both have a Quad-Core CPU. The Amazon Fire HD 8 features a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0. Both of them have an equal 800 x 1280 resolution, a screen with the same size and the same pixel density.

Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features as much memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Amazon Fire HD 8 one, both of them have a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB and the same internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has a very superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 8. Both of them have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition and the same video frame rate.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 features a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8.
