These tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an older 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a quite larger display, a lot greater pixel density and a lot better 2560 x 1600 resolution.
