Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab T-Mobile has the previous 2.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop. Despite being the best tablet in this review, it must be noted that it is also notably older, heavier and much thicker.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 counts with a superior CPU than Galaxy Tab T-Mobile, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores. Galaxy Tab T-Mobile counts with just a bit better looking screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a just a bit inferior pixels count in each inch in the display, a lot worse 600 x 1024 resolution and a little smaller display.

Amazon Fire HD 8 has a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab T-Mobile. Both of them have exactly the same internal memory. Galaxy Tab T-Mobile counts with a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8. The Galaxy Tab T-Mobile has a superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 8, although it has a back facing camera with a lot worse resolution and a much worse 720x480 video definition.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab T-Mobile is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab T-Mobile, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Amazon Fire HD 8, letting go some specs and features.
