Comparison review

Galaxy View 2 is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 8, getting a general score of 65.3 against 54.1. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy View 2 has newer 8.1 Oreo version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version, providing a lot of extra features and some performance improvements. Galaxy View 2's design is notably newer, but much heavier and thicker than Amazon Fire HD 8.

The Samsung Galaxy View 2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). Amazon Fire HD 8 features a bit sharper display than Galaxy View 2, because although it has a way smaller screen and a lot lower 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a higher pixel count in each inch of display.

The Samsung Galaxy View 2 counts with much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has 48 GB more internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 400 GB. The Samsung Galaxy View 2 has a much better battery life than Amazon Fire HD 8.

Amazon Fire HD 8 takes way better photos and videos than Galaxy View 2.

Although Samsung Galaxy View 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy View 2, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8, letting go a couple specifications.
