Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a lot better than the Amazon Fire HD 8, getting a 66 score against 54.1. Sony Vaio Tap 11 has Windows 8 OS, while Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Despite being the best in this comparison review, Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a heavier and noticeably thicker tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8.

The Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a brighter screen than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a lot larger display, a quite better count of pixels per inch of screen and a lot higher 1080 x 1920px resolution. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 has a little better hardware performance than Sony Vaio Tap 11, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of 1.5 gigahertz cores. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 takes a little bit better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a lot better resolution camera.

Although Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Sony Vaio Tap 11, else you can save some dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8, resigning a couple specs and features.
