Comparison review

Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a lot better than Amazon Fire HD 8, having a general score of 68.5 against 54.1. Despite of the fact the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a lot older and incredibly heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 8, it's construction is still a bit thinner. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia Tablet Z has an older 4.4.4 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a bit better CPU than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a greater amount of RAM memory and an additional graphics processor. The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a much sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8, because it has a much higher 1200 x 1920px resolution, a bigger display and a little higher screen density.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z shoots a lot better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a much more megapixels back camera. Xperia Tablet Z features more memory for games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 8, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity.

The Xperia Tablet Z has a really longer battery life than Amazon Fire HD 8.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Sony Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8, letting go some specs and features.
