Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a general score of 75.8, which is much better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s overall score of 58.6. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has the previous 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)'s construction is thinner than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it's much heavier and was released many years before.

Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) counts with a bit more powerful processor than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also has an additional graphics processor and 1 GB more RAM memory. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a lot better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a way higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a lot more pixels per inch of display and a bigger display.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) shoots way better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a much more mega pixels camera in the back. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a much bigger storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), and although they both have the same internal storage, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.

Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) features a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014), but if you don't you can save some money and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), resigning some features and specifications.
