Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) Review

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is an incredibly powerful Android tablet launched in September 2013, packing an exceptional Quad-Core CPU ticking at 2300 MHz, a really big 10.1-inches multi touch screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 MP back-facing camera and a 2 MP front side camera.

Samsung equipped the Note 10.1 (2014) with a great 2300 megahertz Quad-Core processor, bundled in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 chip and a large 3 GB RAM. Graphic calculations generally uses a lot of processing time, so the Note 10.1 (2014) has an additional Adreno 330 GPU working at 450 megahertz to help with that calculations. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has a 32 GB impressive internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards, allowing the user to store hundreds of applications and even the largest games currently available without worrying about how much storage is left.

This device is just 0.31" thick, making it one of the thinnest portable tablets on sale. Though the Note 10.1 (2014) only has 9.57" long, it manages to pack a 10.1 inches screen. This device has a nice 10.1" screen with a 1600 x 2560 resolution, which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels forming the screen. Its screen uses Super Clear LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

The Note 10.1 (2014) features wifi connection (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a router), 4G LTE high speed connection and also HSPA+ data connection, a slower 4G network and the fastest 3G data connection, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS, EV-DO A and EDGE technologies. The Note 10.1 (2014) works with a Micro SIM card for GSM connection.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back facing camera and a 2 megapixels front-facing camera. It is capable of filming videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD). Additionally, this tablet's camera also features many amazing characteristics: auto-focus, flash, face detection shooting, fast burst mode, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

The Note 10.1 (2014) comes with a big capacity 8220 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery, enough to provide the Note 10.1 (2014) with an impressive battery life. An issue to consider is that the Note 10.1 (2014)'s battery isn't replaceable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins to have trouble holding its charge, even though having 8220 mAh you will probably discard this tablet device before it happens.

This device also includes some useful features like Infrared Port, Bluetooth (for communication with other devices, computers and accessories) and GPS Navigation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

Samsung is selling this device for 610 dollars, which is a high price for a portable tablet this level.
