The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a global score of 62.7, which is a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s score of 58.6. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has the older 4.0 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1's construction has the same thickness than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but it is heavier.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with a display that's just as good as the screen in Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a little worse pixels density, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a larger screen.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 takes clearer pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot better resolution back camera.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, else you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up a couple specs and features.
