The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is slightly better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), with a 61.4 score against 58.6. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s construction has the same thickness than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but it's way heavier. These tablets work with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has the previous 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a greater hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a higher number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has just a bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also counts with more pixels per screen inch.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a superior memory for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has 32 GB internal storage and a SD memory slot that supports up to 1000 GB. The Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) features a superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) also has a back camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), else you can save some money and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), resigning some specs and features.
