Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), with a 60.8 score against 58.6. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has an older 4.1.2 version and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a incredibly older and just a little bit thicker device than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but Samsung was able to build it a bit lighter anyway.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a quite superior performance than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has more RAM memory and a larger number of cores (and they are faster). The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus counts with a little more vivid screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it has a little bit smaller display, a just a little worse screen density and a way lower 600 x 1024 resolution.
Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus takes slightly better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus also has a way more mega pixels back-facing camera. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a much better storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus features a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
