Galaxy Tab 7.7 has an overall score of 64.8, which is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 general score. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the older 4.0.4 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Even though the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is noticeably older than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), it's design is just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have an equal 800 x 1280px resolution, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 also counts with a bit greater quantity of pixels per inch in the screen. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features much more memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1000 GB.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and faster) and a greater amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 also has a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with a way better battery performance than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
