Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), having a overall score of 61.7 against 59.7. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is a way older and just a little thicker portable tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but Samsung made it just a bit lighter anyway. Both tablets we are comparing here use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has older 4.1 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster) and a higher amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a little sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), although it has a little bit smaller screen, a way lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a quite worse screen pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE costs more than the Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), but it's still a good choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
