Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is a very solid Android tablet launched some years ago, in 2012, with a big 7 inches capacitive touch-screen, a powerful Dual-Core processor running at 1.2 gigahertz, and two cameras, a 3.2 MP back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera.

This tablet ships with a powerful Dual-Core CPU ticking at 1200 megahertz, bundled in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip with 1 GB RAM memory. Graphic calculations often eats lots of CPU processing time, so the Tab 2 (7.0) LTE also uses an Adreno 225 graphic processing unit working at 400 megahertz to help the processor with those tasks. A good advantage of this tablet is its 8 GB quite big internal storage memory and an external memory slot, which allows you to store a couple hundred applications without any problem.

While the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is only 7.63 inches long and 4.82" wide, it still manages to pack a 7 inches display. Though the Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is quite slim and comfortable it's not even close to being one of the thinnest tablets in the market, with a thickness of 0.41". It appears that Samsung forgot about optimizing the weight in this 12.2 ounces tablet.

The Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a good level 7 inches display with a 600 x 1024 resolution, providing this device with an average graphic quality. This display uses Super PLS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.

The Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features two cameras, a 3.2 megapixels back side camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera. It also films HD 1280x720 videos at 30 frames per second.

This tablet features an awesome 4000 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery, enough to provide the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE with a great battery duration. An issue to evaluate is that this tablet's battery is not removable so you can't buy a new battery when it starts to get older, while with such a huge battery size you will probably discard this device before it becomes a real problem.

This device provides wifi connection (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high speed internet connection and 3G internet connection, supported by EV-DO A technologies. The Tab 2 (7.0) LTE doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't work with GSM connections and it can work with CDMA carriers.

This tablet also features a couple cool features like Bluetooth and GPS, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is being sold for about $ 130, a rather high price for comparing with other similar tablet devices. This tablet is the correct choice no matter if you want a tablet device to mostly use social networks, you love taking photographs, need a tablet for work or will use it for playing games.
