LG Optimus Pad is a not so powerful Android portable tablet, packing a 8.9" multi-touch display, a 5 megapixels back camera and a fast Dual-Core processor speeding at 1 gigahertz.
This tablet is quite heavyweight comparing with today standards, with a weight of 21.87 ounces. Although this tablet just has 9.57" long and 5.87" wide, it is still able to fit a a 8.9" display.
LG decided to power this portable tablet with a great performance 1 GHz Dual-Core processor, included in a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip. The LG Optimus Pad counts with a 32 GB great internal storage and though it doesn't include an SD extension slot, it is still enough to store tons of applications, games, pictures and videos without having to worry about how much storage capacity is left.
This tablet has only a 5 megapixels back camera. This tablet also films Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 fps. This camera also has flash and auto-focus.
LG equipped this device with a interesting 8.9-inches screen, and a resolution of 768 x 1280 , which makes all photos and videos look quite nice.
This tablet features wi-fi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot) and 3G fast connection type, over HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. The LG Optimus Pad works with a SIM card for GSM networks.
This device also includes a couple of interesting characteristics as Bluetooth (allows communication with other tablets and accessories) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
LG is selling the LG Optimus Pad for $ 129, which is a very high price for comparing with other similar tablets.
