Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a general score of 59.7, which is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's 58.1 overall score. These tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it provides a lot of extra features. Even though Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) is somewhat thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, it's a lot lighter and also noticeably newer.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with just a bit better display than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), because although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch of screen, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a little bit larger display. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a superior storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) has a quite superior processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a larger number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020), and although they both have the same 1280x720 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a lot higher 3 mega pixels resolution back camera.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020).

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (2020) is also a bargain compared to others.
