Apple iPad 3 is a little bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a 68.2 score against 65.1. The Apple iPad 3 counts with iOS 7.x operating system, and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 operating system. Apple iPad 3 is a way older, notably heavier and thicker device than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
