Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is much better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a general score of 79 against 67.9. Galaxy Tab Active 3's design is newer, but a little bit heavier and notably thicker than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both tablets in this comparison use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active 3 has newer 10 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a bit better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of faster cores. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has a bit larger display, a just a little more pixels per inch in the screen and a better 1600 x 2560px resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a much better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a lot higher video definition and a much better resolution camera in the back. Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
