Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 67.9, which is just a bit better than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8's general score of 62.3. Both tablets in this comparison review have the same Android 4.4 operating system. Even being the best in this comparison, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a somewhat heavier and a little thicker tablet than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a little bit better looking display than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a little bit larger display, a bit better display density and a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 also has a larger number of cores (although they are slower) and a GPU.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures much clearer photos and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because it has a way higher resolution back facing camera. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8 features a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, else you can save some money and buy the Alcatel OneTouch Hero 8, resigning a couple features and specifications.
