Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, with a 67.9 score against 60.8. Although the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is somewhat heavier than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, it's thinner and newer. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a newer 4.4 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2, so it provides the user some additional features and performance enhancements.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a little more vivid display than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a way worse 1200 x 1920px resolution, a quite worse pixels quantity in each display inch and a really smaller screen. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a bit superior processing unit than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has an extra graphics processing unit.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 have very similar storage for games and applications, both have exactly the same internal memory capacity. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a battery lifetime that is just as good as Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's battery life.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
