Comparison review
The iPad 4 is a bit better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a 70.8 score against 67.9. The iPad 4 has iOS 7.x OS, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.4 OS. Even being the best tablet in this comparison review, the iPad 4 construction is somewhat thicker and extremely heavier than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit superior CPU than iPad 4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and more RAM memory. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a little bit better looking display than iPad 4, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a better display pixels density.
IPad 4 features a superior memory for games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has 128 GB internal storage. IPad 4 has a better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a lower 1920x1080 video quality, a back camera with a much lower 5 mega pixels resolution and a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light photography and videos.
The iPad 4 features a battery life that is very similar to the battery life in Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Apple iPad 4 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
