Comparison review
The Apple iPad mini 4 has a score of 75.6, which is much better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's 67.9 score. The Apple iPad mini 4 body is newer, lighter and thinner than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Apple iPad mini 4 comes with iOS 9.x operating system, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.4 operating system.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a superior processor than iPad mini 4, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a greater number of cores (and they are faster). The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit better looking screen than Apple iPad mini 4, because it has a bit higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a little bit larger display and a quite better quantity of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The iPad mini 4 counts with a much better memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has more internal storage capacity. Apple iPad mini 4 features a very superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. IPad mini 4 shoots way better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light photography, they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the same resolution back facing camera and the same video frame rate.
In addition to being the best tablet in our current comparison, the iPad mini 4 is also by far the cheapest, making it an obvious call.
