Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than the Google Nexus 7, having a score of 67.9 against 59.3. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the previous 4.4 version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's body is extremely newer and thinner than the Google Nexus 7's, although it is a little heavier.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better looking display than Google Nexus 7, because it has a much greater amount of pixels per inch of display, a much better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a larger display. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because it has more internal memory capacity.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a little better processing power than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a greater amount of RAM. Google Nexus 7 counts with a superior battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much better camera than Google Nexus 7.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Nexus 7. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Google Nexus 7, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
