Comparison review
The Google Pixel Slate has a general score of 79.3, which is much better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's global score of 67.9. Google Pixel Slate comes with Chrome OS operating system, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.4 operating system. Although Google Pixel Slate is way heavier than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's a bit thinner and extremely newer.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit faster CPU than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has 14 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with a greater number of cores. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better screen than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a much smaller screen and a bit worse 1600 x 2560 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch.
Google Pixel Slate takes a lot better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, a back facing camera with an 8 mega pixels and the same video frame rates, the Google Pixel Slate also has a bigger aperture for better low-light captures and videos.
Google Pixel Slate counts with a superior memory for games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has more internal memory. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 and the Google Pixel Slate both have really similar batteries performance.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Pixel Slate, else you can save some money and get the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, giving up some specs and features.
