Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is a little bit better than the HTC Jetstream's global score of 63.6. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 body is a lot newer, a lot thinner and lighter than the HTC Jetstream. Both of these tablets work with Android OS, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.4 version and HTC Jetstream has Android 3.1.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant display than HTC Jetstream, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per screen inch and a way better resolution of 1600 x 2560. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a little bit more storage capacity to install applications and games than HTC Jetstream, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage capacity.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit superior processing unit than HTC Jetstream, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a greater number of cores (and they are faster). The HTC Jetstream features a much longer battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The HTC Jetstream shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the same resolution back camera and the same video frame rate.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC Jetstream, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC Jetstream. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the HTC Jetstream, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
