Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 67.9, which is just a bit better than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1's 65.5 general score. These tablets work with Android operating system, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a newer 4.4 version and Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 has Android 3.2 version, so it provides a lot of extra features and performance tweaks. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a a lot newer tablet device, and it's also a lot lighter and somewhat thinner than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a lot better looking screen than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with way more pixels per inch in the screen and a much higher 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 features as much memory for apps and games as the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 one, they have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and faster) and a higher amount of RAM memory. Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 features a way better battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 takes much clearer photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a way lower 1280x720 (HD) video definition, a much less megapixels camera in the back and a lot smaller aperture.

Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, resigning a couple specs and features.
