Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 is a very solid Android tablet launched in December 2011, packing an exceptional Dual-Core CPU running at 1200 MHz, a huge 10.1 inches capacitive screen, and two cameras, a 5 MP back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera.
This tablet has a beautiful design, with a thickness of just 0.35 inches. This device is only 10" long, but it manages to hold a 10.1" display. This tablet is a bit heavy for a device of this size, with a weight of 21.13 oz.
This tablet is equipped with a nice 800 x 1280 10.1-inches display, making everything look quite colorful and brightful. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
Motorola decided to power this tablet with a TI OMAP4430 system chip, holding an extremely fast Dual-Core processor ticking at 1.2 gigahertz with only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit poor for such a good tablet. Graphic calculations often consume lots of processing power, so it also has a PowerVR SGX540 graphic processing unit running at 304 megahertz to improve overall performance. A great feature of this tablet is the 64 GB huge internal storage memory and while it doesn't come with an SD card slot, it is still enough to store hundreds of apps without worrying about how much storage is left.
The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 counts with Wi-Fi capability (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a modem), LTE (4G) high performance connection type and 3G internet connection, using EV-DO A technologies. This device doesn't have a sim card, because it is not a GSM enabled portable tablet and it works in CDMA carriers.
The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front camera. Its back side camera has a F2.8 aperture so it has a lot of trouble taking nice photos in dark situations. It can also capture videos up to 1280x720 (HD) at 30 frames per second. Additionally, the camera has auto-focus and flash.
The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 comes with a large 7000 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery providing this tablet an incredible battery life. An issue to take into consideration is that this tablet's battery isn't replaceable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to lose its charge, whereas with its 7000 mAh you will probably discard this tablet before it becomes an issue.
This tablet also includes a couple useful features as Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS Localization, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Compass.
The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 costs about $ 175, not very cheap for comparing with similar devices. If you want it to take many photographs, want a gaming tablet device, will use this tablet for work or need a tablet majorly for internet broswing and social networks, this device is probably the right one .
