The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a score of 66.2, which is a bit better than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1's 65.5 overall score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 has Android 3.2. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 construction is much newer, notably lighter and somewhat thinner than the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a bit sharper screen than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 also counts with a greater display density. The Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 counts with a much bigger memory for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 counts with a bit better CPU than Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1, because although it has a weaker graphics processor running at 450 megahertz, it also counts with a larger number of 1200 megahertz cores and a higher amount of RAM. Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 has a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.

Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 takes much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (HD) video resolution, the Motorola Droid XYBoard 10.1 also has a way more mega pixels back facing camera.

In addition to being the best tablet in this comparison, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is also a lot cheaper.
