Comparison review

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a bit better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a global score of 69.2 against 67.9. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4, giving some extra features. The Galaxy Note 8.0 construction is just a bit lighter than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it's a bit thicker and was released around a year before.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a way higher 1600 x 2560 resolution, a lot more pixels per inch of screen and a bit larger screen. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit better performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same number of cores and 2 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra graphics processing unit.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a camera that is just as good as Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's camera, although the Galaxy Note 8.0 has a way lower 1280x720 video resolution and a camera in the back with a lot lower resolution. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note 8.0, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
