The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 67.9, which is much better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)'s 61.4 general score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's design is newer, extremely lighter and thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both tablets in this comparison review include Android OS, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a lot better looking display than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 1600 x 2560px resolution and a much higher screen pixel density. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a faster CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a higher number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 56 GB more internal memory capacity.
