Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 67.9, which is better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's 61.7 global score. These devices use Android operating system, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has Android 4.1 version. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's construction is incredibly newer and much thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE's, but it is just a bit heavier.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with 2 more cores and a larger amount of RAM. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 56 GB more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE counts with a very superior battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a way higher (Full HD) video resolution and a back facing camera with a lot higher 8 megapixels resolution.
