These devices come with Android OS, but Acer Iconia One 8 has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 has Android 4.0, so it provides a lot of extra features and improved performance. Acer Iconia One 8's construction is a lot newer, lighter and just a little bit thinner than Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7.
