Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 is a not so powerful portable tablet launched back in 2012, packing a great performance Dual-Core processor clocking at 1200 megahertz, a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera and a good size 7 inches touch-screen. But it's time to get into more detail.
Amazon ships the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 with a TI OMAP4460 system chip, including a fast 1.2 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU with 1 GB RAM. Graphic intensive apps and games usually eats lots of processing power, so it uses an extra PowerVR SGX540 GPU ticking at 384 megahertz to improve overall performance. A great advantage of the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 is its 32 GB astonishing internal storage memory and even though it doesn't include an SD card slot, it is still enough to install hundreds of applications without having to worry about filling the tablet.
Amazon just sells this tablet in color black. It seems like Amazon decided not to care much about the weight in this 13.9 ounces device. This device is very thin and looks really nice, although it's not close to being one of the thinnest tablets currently available, with a thickness of 0.4".
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 has a good looking 7 inches screen with a 800 x 1280 resolution, making everything look colorful and brightful. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
This tablet only features a 1.3 MP front facing camera.
This tablet provides Wi-Fi connection (although it can't provide it to other devices acting as a hotspot). This tablet doesn't have a SIM card, because it is not a GSM enabled tablet.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 also includes Bluetooth, and some sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
This device is being sold for about $ 199, which is a high price for this type of tablet device. When you buy the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 you will also receive and Quick Start Guide and USB 2.0 cable.
